目的・概要

This is a foundation course in academic writing at graduate level for non-native speakers of English. Participants will learn the basics of academic writing at graduate level, focusing on short research papers of around 1000 words.

Students will improve their skills, knowledge and habits in writing academic English, focusing on accuracy in grammar and vocabulary, improving writing fluency, conventional organization and logic in academic writing, research ethics and documentation, paraphrase and summary. Each week students will complete short reading and writing tasks, practice peer and self-editing, and work on grammar and vocabulary exercises. Instruction will respond to the specific needs of participants.
